Balboa VS501Z Control Box Only with Spa Heater 51-54356-z-k.


Runs 2 speed pump, light, heater, and ozonator. Does NOT include topside keypad, nor power cords, control box and heater only.

This is ideal for retrofitting existing spas and hot tubs that have a VS500Z control now. You will be shipped the VS501Z at no extra charge, since the VS500Z is no longer made. VS501Z works perfectly for any VS500Z application.

  • Minimum 2" piping requirement and 23 GPM minimum flow rate.
  • Controls one dual-speed pump, ozone and light
  • 230V incoming power required - 4 wire with neutral 60HZ
  • Default factory settings are:
  • Pump 115v 2-speed
  • Spa Light 12v 1a
  • Ozonator 115v
  • Heater 230v 5.5kW
Voltage outputs are field changeable if the need arises.

Those who are familiar with basic plumbing and electrical skills will find the Balboa controls easy to set up and there is a ton of support info online for Balboa controls.The VS500Z is great for those with a working knowledge of Balboa setup procedure, jumper wire changes, dip switch settings, and the ability to read the included wiring diagram, and the initial startup procedure, as well as having a good working knowledge of Balboa Diagnostic Messages (error codes).

It uses patented M7 sensor technology for better performance and improved safety.
