Unlike typical industrial immersion heaters, which are not Listed for use in water with people, the heater is extensively tested and Listed for use with people in tubs & pools. This circulation pump is very low amp draw, the fittings provided allow easy connection of pump to heater. A very reliable system, the SmarTouch Digital Control has been used for years in the spa industry and has a great reputation for reliability.
The system is very flexible and easy to program, can be set to a temperature and programmed to run certain hours, or economy mode, etc. using the digital display keypad. Shown in the photos with OPTIONAL plastic base which is available upon request. Base is not required, and is not included in this item. Size is 26 x 16" on this optional base plate. Overall height about 14".
Run on 230 volts, this would draw 23.7 amps and belongs on a 4-wire circuit with a neutral, on a 30 or larger GFCI breaker. On 115v it would draw only 13.1 amps and belongs on a 20a GFCI breaker. Other options include hair & lint trap, cartridge filter, larger pumps available too. Also, a WiFi remote is available.
This unit is not designed to LIFT water out of a pool, this requires a pool pump with integral leaf trap/basket. Please email us if you need this feature, we will recommend a higher speed pump for you. The above included circ pump is excellent for water circulation, heating, and filtration. If you need a pump to drive water flow to a fountain or a long distance, or lift out of a pool of water below the level of the pump, email us the details and we will help with pump selection.
