If replacing original Softub motor with stainless coils thermally bonded to motor, either bond the coils to new motor as done by factory, OR, important, provide ventilation to the new motor by creating vent holes in pump container near front of motor and near rear of motor allowing the motor's internal fan to cool it properly. If this is not done, the new motor will trip the thermal overload protect device, and the tub will not run and heat properly. A generous supply of cooling air makes a motor live longer too. 4" diameter vent are usually sufficient. WITH METAL BASE
